What a way to kick off the month of August! There is nothing like spending time baking and crafting with friends to prepare for an awesome celebration of love. It was a full house but we are thankful for Corinn who graciously opened up her home to a bunch of young adults. There was little to no walking space amongst the blankets and pillows but at least were all together and ready to go for the big day. I have been friends with Lindsay since our freshman year at Washington State. We instantly hit it off. I was happy to have finally met someone other than my family who also gets a little loud when they get excited about something. I got the pleasure of walking beside her through college life and engaged life. It took a little time and a few more activities to get to know Mark, because unlike Lindsay and I, Mark is quieter. What I love about these two is how well they compliment one another, and how they encourage each other. They have a heart for the Lord and it is evident that they seek Him in their relationship.
How lucky are these two to have found each other and to merge such amazing families. Leslee and Laurel were rock stars in preparing and planning their sisters wedding. Leslee made all the delicious cupcakes with only one oven and a single baking pan. I believe the final count was somewhere around 300 cupcakes made. They were stunning and a huge hit. Laurel planned everything to a T and really made that week one to remember.
The ceremony and reception were held at the Graves Family Tree Farm in Arlington Washington. It is a place that is very near and dear to the bride as it belongs to her Grandfather. The drive is surrounded by lush green trees that reach to the sky. In the clearing lay the hay bails for seating and the canopy her grandfather built just for the occasion. It is amazing how much love and generosity flows from this family. We are so honored to have spent the day getting to know such amazing people and to celebrate two people we love. Whether we had just met or had met many times before everyone felt like a long time friend. Thank you Mark and Lindsay for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day! We wish you so much happiness in marriage and pray that the Lord bless you in it. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Rose!
